Sustainable Energy Resources

An estimated 1.5 billion tons of municipal solid waste, green waste, sewage sludge, plastics, auto fluff, agricultural, forestry and other waste products, including some 300 million used tires, are generated in the United States each year. 320 million tons are readily available for use in the production of liquid and electric energy.

And when organic waste materials are utilized as fuel, the technology supports the natural environmental cycle of CO2 generation and recovery.

The technology is a generation beyond cellulosic ethanol—which is generally defined as the production of ethanol from purpose-grown plant materials—a process many authorities believe is still five-to-seven years away.

In addition, America has some 267 billion tons of recoverable coal reserves, more than a 300-year supply. Currently, the combustion of coal to create electricity represents the nation’s greatest source of industrial pollution. Millions of dollars are being spent to develop combined cycle coal gasification projects, but these technologies must still combust the resulting syngas to generate electricity. The BRI Process uses waste heat, rather than combustion, to create the high temperature steam that drives electrical turbines.

It is the only technology that can blend any of the resources listed above as feedstocks—and the only technology that can simultaneously co-produce renewable liquid energy, green power and other products from organic wastes.

It could provide the nation’s farmers and dairy industries with productive alternatives to the open-field burning of agricultural residues and the disposal of animal wastes.

It could extend by up to 80% the useful lives of existing landfills, while at the same time, lowering the cost of waste transport and disposal for municipalities, and it can convert landfill gas (i.e., methane, a precursor of greenhouse gases 21 times more powerful than CO2) into ethanol. Ultimately, it will enable the world to reclaim approximately 80% of the materials in existing landfills (the organic fraction) for use in the production of energy.

It holds promise to eliminate the need for public agencies to spread sewage sludge on agricultural lands, usually in some other county or state than their own.

Clearly, America has enough domestic resources to produce all of its liquid energy needs from non-petroleum sources.

  1. Really appreciate the absence of stock photos that have nothing to do with the content, and a quick visit to silkplus maintained the same restraint, visual filler is a tell that the writing cannot stand on its own and the lack of it here suggests the team has confidence in their content quality alone.

  5. Probably worth setting aside a longer block to read more carefully than I can right now, and a stop at crystalmapletraders confirmed the longer block plan, the impulse to schedule dedicated time for a sites archive is itself a measure of trust and this site has earned that scheduling impulse from me clearly today actually.

  9. I usually skim posts like these but this one held my attention all the way through, and a stop at fluxbuild did the same, that is a strong endorsement coming from me because I am usually quick to bounce when content gets repetitive or fails to deliver on its initial promise made in the headline.

  17. Appreciated how the writer anticipated the questions a reader might have along the way, and a stop at kilorealm continued that thoughtful approach, you can tell when content has been edited with the reader in mind versus just published as a first draft and this is clearly the former approach across what I read.

  18. Комплексный подход позволяет не просто стабилизировать физическое состояние пациента, но и обеспечить долговременный результат. Каждый этап лечения сопровождается медицинским наблюдением и корректируется по мере улучшения состояния.

  19. Thanks for sharing this with the open internet rather than locking it behind a paywall like so many sites do now, and a stop at fastcartarena kept the same vibe going, generous helpful and clearly written by someone who actually wants people to learn from it rather than just charge them.

  20. Reading this slowly to give it the attention it deserved, and a stop at twilightpetalmarket earned the same slow read, choosing to read slowly is a small act of respect for content quality and very few sites earn that respect from me but this one did so without any explicit ask which is the cleanest way.

  22. A well calibrated piece that knew its scope and stayed inside it, and a look at ampcard maintained the same scope discipline, scope creep is one of the failure modes of long blog posts and this site has clearly invested in the editorial discipline to prevent it which shows up in tightly contained pieces.

  26. Reading this slowly to absorb the structure, and the structure is doing real work alongside the words, and a look at voltorbit maintained the same architectural quality, when sentence shapes and paragraph rhythms reinforce the meaning rather than just transporting words you know you are reading skilled work today.

  27. Now noticing the careful balance the post struck between confidence and humility, and a stop at velvetridgecollective maintained the same balance, finding the line between asserting and admitting is hard and this site has clearly developed the calibration to walk that line consistently which produces a more persuasive reading experience for me.

  28. Looking at the surface design and the substance together this site has both right, and a look at xenojet reinforced that integrated quality, sites where presentation and content reinforce each other rather than fighting are sites with full editorial coherence and this one has clearly invested in both layers in a balanced way.

  29. Found something new in here that I had not seen explained this way before, and a quick stop at rustkit expanded the idea even further, the kind of writing that nudges your thinking forward a bit without forcing the issue is exactly what I look for online today and rarely actually find anywhere.

  31. Worth saying this site reads better than most paid newsletters I have tried, and a stop at zingdart confirmed that comparison, the bar for free content is often lower than for paid but this site clears the paid bar consistently and that says something about the editorial approach behind the work being published here regularly.

  40. If quality blog writing is dying as people sometimes claim then this site is one piece of evidence that it has not died yet, and a look at rankcraft extended that evidence, the broader cultural question about online writing has empirical answers in specific sites and this one is contributing to a more optimistic answer overall.

  41. Как подчёркивает главный врач клинического отделения, «в условиях стационара мы можем оперативно реагировать на малейшие изменения в состоянии пациента, что критически важно при тяжёлых формах запоя».

  46. Refreshing to read something where the words actually mean something instead of filling space, and a stop at kilostud kept that going, the writing here trusts the reader to follow along without endless repetition or constant reminders of what was already said earlier in the post which I appreciate.

  48. Reading this between meetings turned out to be the most useful thing I did all afternoon, and a stop at docktone kept that productivity feeling going, content can sometimes outperform actual work in terms of what gets accomplished mentally and this site managed that today which is genuinely a high bar to clear consistently.
